The Band wrote those lyrics in 1975 and I have listened to the song a thousand times but never understood them, now I do.
The Acadian region is a beautiful place to ride when the weather permits.
I experienced both ends of the spectrum these last two days.
Heading out from Moncton early Tuesday morning the weather turned from overcast to high wind then rain.
Fuel management and no tankers to refuel the local stations in the area led me on a side trip to find petrol.
Computer said zero miles left but the K-16 kept rolling!
No fuel in site for 20 clicks I had to go to Option B, meet the neighbors.
Luckily I found a Cabinet shop in the middle of nowhere with some friendly Carpenters who had some fuel!
Back on the road I headed towards the Canso Causeway, the only path up to the Cabot Trail.
Crosswind blowing at 30 clicks across the causeway with high tide created 3 meter rollers crashing onto the roadway, Awesome!
Bike got salted but made it across.
Wednesday the weather was great for riding and I was in position to ride the Cabot Trail!
Good people up here!
Lot's of these up here!
Family run place, Mom handled the Dinning room, Pop handles the Inn!
Where's that confounded petrol station?
Nice bikes and awesome bikers!
Checkout the road just above the K-16, that's we're I'm headed!
Couldn't pass this up.
Not as good as Chef McLain's but not bad!
Looks a little better today!
The Canso Causeway Canel was built to allow ship passage from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
This quarry has a conveyor belt dropping aggregate down from the mountain into another belt directly into the ship.
Very efficient!
I feel the Canadian Cold Front moving in and the geese are busting a move south.
Me too, USA I'm on the way!

What a great adventure! You have now added crossing borders like a badass to your life experiences! I wish I could help you with local rules, but not licensed to practice law over there, eh! Keep on truckin!
